The Banyan Bed and Breakfast Retreat, originally built in 1927, is located in a quiet, rural upcountry Maui setting at the 1,500 ft. elevation on the slopes of 10,000 ft. Haleakala Mountain. Our accommodations include the historic plantation house with three large bed rooms/ suites as well as 4 individual, spacious cottages. This classic plantation estate is located on 2 beautifully landscaped acres with sweeping ocean view in cool upcountry. This historic plantation property is 7 miles up the hill from Paia town on Maui’s Northshore. 7 minutes drive from Paia town & 3 minutes from Makawao town, 25 minutes from Kahului airport.
3 bedroom 3 bath main house has its own entrance and bedrooms with its each private bathroom, full kitchen, formal dining room, “spacious” living room and a large screened porch.
Adjacent to this beautiful home, the 4 cottages offer convenience with self-sufficient, private rooms with kitchenette. Cottage guests receive a continental breakfast every morning that features fresh fruit, muffin and juice. (NOT for guests renting main house.)
Our 50′ swimming pool and Jacuzzi is for the private use of our guests. Also the 700 sq. ft. yoga and meditation studio is available to use. Shared laundry facilities on site for cottage guests, Wireless internet access also available.
3 bedroom 3 bathroom Plantation Main House:
Each bedroom has 1 queen & 1 full size bed (3 queens and 3 full total)and each own bathroom (either shower or bath tub). TV, Video, Phone, Full Kitchen, washer & dryer.
This main house is plantation style house with huge open living room, formal dining room, a restaurant quality kitchen as well as a large screened porch with expansive view.
Cottage A (HIBISCUS Studio):
Kitchenette (Small Refrigerator, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker), 1 king + 1 queen size bed, private bathroom (tub/shower), TV, Phone, Shared laundry.
This is a large and sunny studio cottage.
Cottage B (GARDENIA Studio):
Full Kitchen (with oven and full size refrigerator), Private bathroom (tub/shower), 1 queen size bed & 1 single bed, TV, Phone.
This is a studio cottage with FULL kitchen.
Cottage C (PLUMERIA Studio):
Kitchenette (Small Refrigerator, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker), 1 Queen size bed & 1 single bed, Private bathroom (tub/shower), TV, Phone.
This is a small economy suite, which can be combined with Main house as 4 bedrooms under the same roof.
Cottage D (GINGER 2 Bedroom 2 Bath):
Kitchenette (Small Refrigerator, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker), 2 queen size beds, 2 private shower bathroom, TV, Phone.
This is newly remodeled wheelchair accessible with 2 private entrances, a living room and 2 private bathrooms.
